Basically the plot of the story is about a beautiful widowed woman who eventually finds a new love. A 30 year old woman recently widowed after her husband dies a heroic death in Iraq, believes the quaint nostalgic country .   The book starts off in a small town called Saunders Creek which is located just outside of the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. I guess this attached me since I have property not far from there. The first character we are introduced to is Corrie Saunders. She is the widow.

I believe that may have something to do with my lack of enjoyment with the book.
